We deliver conservation solutions so agricultural producers can protect natural resources and feed a growing world.
The Ohio Natural Resources Conservation Service Energy Technical Assistance program is designed to support the delivery of technical assistance to agricultural producers, specifically in the area of energy conservation. The program seeks partners capable of conducting energy audits, designing and implementing energy conservation practices according to NRCS standards, and providing various forms of support including energy assessments, development of prescriptive lists for energy practices, and trainings for NRCS, partners, and producers. The effort is intended to enhance energy efficiency in agricultural operations, addressing the need for qualified individuals to perform energy audits and develop energy-saving implementations in Ohio. This initiative falls under the broader goals of soil and water conservation and the Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP), aiming to promote environmental quality and sustainable agricultural practices.
