    Overview

The RCPP (Regional Conservation Partnership Program) seeks to improve the conservation outcomes on agricultural lands, watersheds, and other relevant areas by enhancing the collaboration between the NRCS and various partners. The program focuses on implementing projects that efficiently address specific natural resource challenges through innovative solutions, driving positive environmental impacts. It operates by co-investing with partners in projects that are selected through a competitive process, focusing on their potential impacts, partner contributions, and effective management. Through RCPP, up to $1.5 billion is allocated to support these conservation projects, combining funds from the 2018 Agriculture Improvement Act and the Inflation Reduction Act. The program also emphasizes providing both financial and technical assistance to agricultural producers and private landowners, aiming to achieve substantial conservation benefits and promoting equity in access to its programs.
