We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This grant program focuses on developing essential community facilities in rural areas with the primary aim of fostering the orderly development of such communities. Eligible rural areas for this program are defined as cities, villages, townships, towns, and Federally Recognized Tribal Lands with a population not exceeding 20,000 residents as per the latest U.S. Census Data. The grant supports various projects, including the construction, purchase, or improvement of facilities that provide critical services to the community. These services include healthcare, public safety, education, public facilities, community support services, utility services, and local food systems. Funding is available on a graduated scale, favoring smaller communities with the lowest median household income. Maximum grant percentages range from 15% to 75% based on community population and median household income criteria, ensuring the most in-need areas receive higher proportions of grant funds.
