Eligible areas encompass rural cities, villages, townships, towns, and Federally Recognized Tribal Lands as defined by the latest U.S. Census Data. The funds can be employed to purchase, construct, or improve community facilities, purchase equipment, and cover related expenses. It supports a broad range of facilities including healthcare, public services, community support, public safety, education, utility services, and local food systems. The grant assistance is based on a graduated scale, considering the community population and median household income, with smaller, lower-income communities eligible for a higher proportion of grant funds.
