We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program aims to provide affordable funding for the development of essential community facilities in rural areas. It focuses on projects that serve the local community and contribute to the orderly development of primarily rural areas, explicitly excluding private, commercial, or business undertakings. Eligible areas are rural communities including those on Federally Recognized Tribal Lands with no more than 20,000 residents. The funding can be used for a wide range of community facility projects including healthcare, public facilities, community support services, public safety services, educational services, utility services, and local food systems. The grant assistance percentage varies based on community size and median household income, with provisions for communities of up to 20,000 residents, focusing on those with the lowest income for higher grant percentages.
