We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program targets the development of essential community facilities in rural areas with the aim of fostering the orderly development of those communities. It is designed for rural areas, including cities, villages, townships, and towns with no more than 20,000 residents, including Federally Recognized Tribal Lands. The grant supports a wide range of communal facilities and services such as healthcare, public facilities, community support services, public safety services, educational services, utility services, and local food systems. Funding can be used for the acquisition, construction, or improvement of these facilities, as well as purchasing equipment and covering related project expenses. Grant assistance is offered on a graduated scale based on the community's population size and median household income, prioritizing smaller communities with lower median household incomes for a higher percentage of grant funding. Specific eligibility criteria based on community population and median household income determine the proportion of project costs covered by grant funds.
