We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
The grant program provided by USDA Rural Development aims to assist eligible communities in preparing for or recovering from emergencies that threaten the availability of safe, reliable drinking water. These emergencies can include droughts, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hurricanes, disease outbreaks, chemical spills, or other disasters. Importantly, a federal disaster declaration is not necessary to qualify. The funds may be used for specific purposes such as constructing waterline extensions, repairing breaks or leaks in distribution lines, and building or improving water sources and treatment facilities. Grants can reach up to $150,000 for water transmission line projects and up to $1,000,000 for water source projects. This initiative seeks to mitigate damage, restore access to clean water in rural areas, enhance the natural environment, and promote economic growth by enticing businesses to start or increase their operations in these communities.
