We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
The Emergency Community Water Assistance Grants help eligible communities prepare for or recover from emergencies threatening safe drinking water access. This encompasses a broad range of disasters, including droughts, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes or hurricanes, disease outbreaks, and chemical spills, regardless of whether a federal disaster declaration is present. Utilizations of the fund include water transmission line grants for construction and repair activities up to $150,000 and water source grants up to $1,000,000 for constructing water sources or treatment facilities. The program aims to restore households and business access to essential water supplies, mitigate environmental damage, and stimulate economic growth by enhancing the conditions for business operations in rural areas.
