We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This grant program aims to provide technical assistance and training for small rural businesses, emphasizing those with fewer than 50 workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue. It supports projects beneficial to rural areas or towns outside cities with a population of 50,000 or more. The Rural Business Development Grant focuses on two types of projects: Opportunity and Enterprise grants. Opportunity grants fund up to 10 percent of the program's annual funding, targeting community economic development and similar areas. Enterprise grants focus on aiding small and emerging rural businesses through various means such as training, land acquisition, pollution control, and the capitalization of revolving loan funds. Priority is given to smaller grant requests, and there is no cost-sharing requirement, promoting accessibility for smaller initiatives.
