We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program aims to support small and emerging businesses in rural areas through technical assistance and training, emphasizing businesses with fewer than 50 new workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue. Although there is no maximum grant amount, smaller requests have higher priority without a cost-sharing requirement. The grants, including enterprise and opportunity grants, focus on benefiting rural businesses in various ways such as training and technical assistance, land and building development, pollution control, capitalization of revolving loan funds, distance adult learning, rural transportation improvement, community economic development, and more. Opportunity grants specifically support community economic development, technology-based economic development, feasibility studies, leadership training, rural business incubators, and long-term strategic planning.
