This grant program aims to support small and emerging businesses in rural areas through technical assistance and training. Designed for businesses with fewer than 50 employees and less than $1 million in gross revenue, it offers two types of grants: Opportunity grants and Enterprise grants. Opportunity grants focus on a smaller portion of the fund, dedicated to community economic development and similar projects. In contrast, Enterprise grants focus on a wider range of activities including land acquisition, construction, pollution control, capital for revolving loan funds, distance learning, transportation improvement, and various economic development initiatives. There is no maximum grant amount, but smaller requests are prioritized, and there's no cost-sharing requirement.
