We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program aims to support small rural businesses by providing technical assistance and training. It targets businesses with fewer than 50 new workers and less than $1 million in gross revenue. The grant emphasizes the importance of smaller requests and does not require cost sharing, with opportunity grants capped at 10 percent of the total Rural Business Development Grant annual funding. Uses for the funding include training and technical assistance, land and facility improvements, pollution control, capital for revolving loan funds, distance learning for job training, rural transportation improvement, community economic development, technology-based economic development, feasibility studies, business plans, leadership and entrepreneur training, business incubators, and strategic planning.
