We are committed to helping improve the economy and quality of life in rural America.
This program is designed to support the startup and growth of microenterprises in rural areas through financial and technical assistance. It offers loans and grants to Microenterprise Development Organizations (MDOs) to create a Rural Microloan Revolving Fund and provide training and technical support to microloan borrowers and micro-entrepreneurs. The program targets projects in rural areas outside cities or towns with populations under 50,000, ensuring that these ventures can access much-needed capital and advisory services. Grants up to $205,000 annually can support technical assistance for rural micro-entrepreneurs, requiring at least 15 percent matching funds. Loans ranging from $50,000 to $500,000 are available for establishing the revolving fund, with a total aggregate debt limit of $2.5 million per borrower.
