The funds can be utilized for various purposes including the construction, acquisition, and improvement of drinking water infrastructure, sewage systems, solid waste management, and storm water drainage facilities. Additionally, the grant covers costs related to legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, permits, equipment, start-up operations and maintenance, interest incurred during construction, and the purchase of facilities to enhance service quality or prevent service disruption.
