This grant program is focused on enhancing the infrastructure of eligible rural areas by providing funding for clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage for households and businesses. The funds can be used for a variety of purposes including the acquisition, construction, or improvement of drinking water systems, sewer systems, solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage. In addition, funding can cover related activities such as legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, permits, start-up operations and maintenance, and other costs necessary for the completion of the project.
