This program aims to support clean and reliable drinking water systems, sanitary sewage disposal, sanitary solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage for households and businesses in eligible rural areas. The program's funds may be deployed for a wide range of purposes including, but not limited to, the acquisition, construction, or improvement of drinking water infrastructure, sewer systems, solid waste disposal, and storm water drainage facilities. Eligible uses of the funds also extend to legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, permits, equipment, start-up operational costs, interest incurred during construction, and purchasing facilities to enhance service quality or to prevent service loss, among others necessary for the project's completion.
