This grant program aims to support the development and improvement of water and waste disposal systems in eligible rural areas. The broad goals include ensuring access to clean and reliable drinking water, proper sewage disposal, effective solid waste management, and adequate storm water drainage for households and businesses. The grant covers a wide array of activities related to the acquisition, construction, and improvement of water and waste infrastructure. This includes, but is not limited to, drinking water treatment and distribution, sewer systems, solid waste disposal, and storm water management. Additionally, funds may be available for associated costs such as legal and engineering fees, land acquisition, permits, equipment, and start-up operations.
