Variety – The Children’s Charity of Southern California focuses on providing lifesaving and life-enriching assistance to organizations serving children with special needs in Southern California. Their aim is to support those in the greatest need, inspiring hope, enriching lives, and building a better future for these children.
The Variety Sunshine Coach program is designed to address the mobility needs of children who are often left out due to their physical or health conditions. Established 30 years ago, this initiative aims to bring children "into the sunshine" by making the world more accessible to them. The program provides specially equipped Sunshine Coaches to transport children to essential services such as medical treatment, therapy, education, and recreational activities. With over 250 Sunshine Coaches in operation in Southern California, this program strives to ensure that children have the access they need to partake fully in society and lead enriching lives.
