    Overview

    The Samara Fund focuses on supporting projects or organizations that directly benefit Vermont's LGBTQ+ communities or offer HIV/AIDS services or prevention specifically for LGBTQ+ Vermonters. While the grant is open to all organizations, preference is given to those either directly affiliated with or offering projects specifically aimed at LGBTQ+ and HIV/AIDS issues. For the 2021 grantmaking cycle, the Fund prioritizes initiatives that are for and led by LGBTQ+ youth, elders, BIPOC, those living in rural areas, Trans Vermonters, and projects that enhance LGBTQ+ competent healthcare, including mental health, substance abuse, and HIV/AIDS services.
