The Foundation's mission is to support Hawaii’s transitioning foster youth through alignment with the goals of both the Jim Casey Youth Opportunities Initiative and the Hawaii Youth Opportunities Initiative. Its focus is on empowering these youth towards achieving improved outcomes in areas such as permanence, education, employment, housing, health, social capital, and financial capability.
The grant program focuses on empowering nonprofit organizations and programs that serve foster children, their caregivers, and transitioning foster youth. It seeks to provide meaningful support that enables these entities to strengthen and grow their capacity, thereby enhancing the quality and reach of their services. The grant aims to address the critical needs of foster children and youth during transitional phases, with a clear goal of supporting their development and well-being through stronger, more capable service providers.
