The Watertown Community Foundation works to strengthen the Watertown community through philanthropy and support. It aims to enhance the quality of life for residents by addressing local needs and fostering community engagement.
This grant program focuses on supporting educational initiatives with funding up to $2,500 for individual efforts and up to $5,000 for partnerships among schools or organizations. It aims to encourage projects that enhance educational experiences beyond a single classroom, including grade-level initiatives, afterschool programs, school-wide, and system-wide plans. The grant supports diverse projects like supplemental materials/books, equipment for educational purposes, special events and speakers for programs such as anti-discrimination or drug and alcohol prevention, student programs like college readiness or extracurricular clubs, and experimental initiatives aiming at improving school or district educational methodologies.
