The Foundation is devoting significant resources toward investments in two critical focus areas for our work in Forsyth County: Building an Inclusive Economy and Advancing Equity in Education.
The Advancing Equity in Education Grants by BPI aim to support programs that directly address the systemic inequities in education affecting Black and brown communities. The grants focus on ensuring students of color, especially Black students, have a supportive learning environment that respects their humanity and dignity. The grant supports projects like improving access to remote learning, enhancing disciplinary policies to better serve students of color, and offering implicit bias training for educators. These efforts are designed to provide students with the resources and space needed to learn, grow, and thrive.
