    Overview

The Undergraduate Marine Research Internship grant provides a $1,000 scholarship to support a still-matriculated undergraduate student participating in a confirmed internship program focused on marine biology. The grant supports students who have completed at least 60 credits or hold third-year (junior) status before starting their internship. It is designed to offset expenses related to the internship, such as travel, lodging, and research expenses. The internship program represented by this grant typically lasts about 3 months, usually during a summer session. Longer durations may be considered. Preference is given to applicants who have a confirmed internship at the time of application, though those applying for internships will also be considered.
