The Yampa Valley Community Foundation aims to provide leadership in fundraising, in collaboration with community members, to support innovative programs that benefit the Yampa Valley community. Their vision emphasizes building a healthy and vital community through the power of philanthropy.
The YVCF Community Grants program, in collaboration with the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation, Donor Advised Fund Holders, and other Granting Endowments, offers annual grants of up to $7,500 primarily for unrestricted purposes, alongside programmatic grants when more appropriate. This approach acknowledges the expertise of nonprofit recipients in allocating their funds most effectively, encouraging flexibility for innovation, emergent actions, and sustainability. Eligible organizations must serve Routt and/or Moffat Counties and meet other specified guidelines. Programmatic grants are available to organizations that operate beyond the local scope, public entities, or programs operated by religious organizations that address critical community needs without mandating religious participation.
