Ezulwini is life-changing! I did the 6 day safari with family and friends (ages 12-73) and everyone still raves how this was the best trip of their life. Of course the Safari was amazing; we experienced so many animals (including the most amazing birds!), far beyond my expectation. But even more beyond my expectation were the Ezulwini team which welcomed us like family and were incredibly kind, knowledgeable, dependable and attentive. Everything about Ezulwini - the wonderful food, the breath-taking scenery, the personable family atmosphere, even the cold mornings holding a hot water bottle and watching the sunrise - made our trip a special and unforgettable experience. I tell everyone I can that they must go!

What an absolutely phenomenal experience! My husband and I were treated like absolute royalty from the moment we arrived until the minute we reluctantly left. The entire team, both front-of-house and the incredible people working diligently behind the scenes, showcased Ezulwini River Lodge with such infectious passion and enthusiasm. We especially want to single out the wonderful staff we interacted with most: Hector, Richard,Sue, Craig, and Knox, dedication made our trip flawless. Honestly, I cannot say enough about every single detail—from the extraordinary food (truly gourmet!), to the thrilling, insightful game drives, and the consistently warm, genuine hospitality. Every aspect exceeded our highest expectations. We will absolutely, unequivocally, 1000% recommend this lodge to every single person we encounter who is looking for a once-in-a-lifetime safari adventure. Thank you, Ezulwini River Lodge, for providing us with the trip of a lifetime. We wish you continued, well-deserved success and growth for many years to come!

Ezulwini turned out to be a fantastic surprise! We had won a 6-night stay at an auction—three nights at River Lodge and three at Billy’s Lodge—and didn’t quite know what to expect. Within our first 24 hours at River Lodge, we checked off the Big Five! Our guides, Hector and Richard, were incredible—going above and beyond to track down everything we hoped to see. The staff was warm and accommodating, and the food was excellent. They were especially attentive to my husband’s food allergies, which we really appreciated. After each safari, we were greeted with a warm towel (such a simple, perfect touch), and after the evening game drive—a shot to toast the day! The river view was peaceful, and we loved our upgraded suite with its private plunge pool—an ideal spot to unwind. Billy’s Lodge had its own charm, though it’s a bit older. Our upgraded room didn’t have much of a view and could’ve used a fresh coat of paint, in my opinion. That said, we really enjoyed the wine tasting in the cellar and a memorable outdoor BBQ, complete with tribal singing and dancing by the staff. At Billy’s Lodge, our guide Franz and tracker Conrad brought a completely different energy from Hector and Richard.. Franz is a true tracker at heart: calm, methodical, and deeply knowledgeable. He read animal prints, teaching us how he follows subtle signs through the bush. Along the way, he shared stories from his childhood—growing up in the wild, learning from his father—and taught us how local plants are used for healing, jewelry, and more. His approach was slower, more intentional, and packed with learning. We still found incredible wildlife, but the journey itself became just as fascinating as the destination. Thank you, Franz! Overall, I’d absolutely recommend Ezulwini—it delivered big moments and little touches in all the right ways.
