The mission of the A. Lindsay & Olive B. O’Connor Foundation is focused on improving the quality of life within Delaware County and the immediately adjacent counties in rural upstate New York. Their efforts largely target supporting initiatives and projects within this geographical area to promote well-being and community development.
The grant program is dedicated to supporting a wide range of causes that directly improve the quality of life in Delaware County, New York, and adjacent counties. Specific areas of support include health care, substance abuse prevention, violence prevention, educational programs from day care through secondary schools, environmental conservation, economic and community development, public safety, cultural initiatives, and historical preservation. The foundation places a strong emphasis on projects within Delaware County but also considers proposals from the surrounding rural counties.
