The mission of the Office of the Alameda County Arts Commission is to support and develop Alameda County as a vibrant center for artistic and cultural expression. Through its programs, including ARTSFUND, the Commission aims to ensure that arts, culture, and creativity are recognized as essential components of a thriving community.
The ARTSFUND Grant Program aims to support non-profit arts and cultural organizations within Alameda County that serve the local community. The program focuses on a wide range of artistic and cultural forms, including visual art, dance, theater, music, literature, poetry, cultural events, and traditions. It offers general operating support to help eligible organizations sustain their mission and ongoing programs. This includes expenses related to program delivery, general administration, and operations. In an effort to be inclusive of organizations of all sizes and areas of focus, ARTSFUND has standardized grant awards for organizations that are 100% dedicated to arts and culture, providing equal opportunities for financial support. The program facilitates arts and cultural programs presented in various formats, including in-person, online, and virtual mediums.
