The Alaska Humanities Forum connects Alaskans through stories, ideas, and experiences that inspire understanding and strengthen communities. It envisions a culturally diverse, economically vibrant, and equitable Alaska where people are engaged, informed, and connected.
The Strengthening Communities Grants Program by the Alaska Humanities Forum is designed to foster connections and deepen understanding among Alaskans by investing in their stories, ideas, and community engagement efforts. It awards annual project grants to nonprofit organizations and government entities throughout Alaska to support their work in community building. Additionally, the program includes Convenings & Dialogues grants, which provide $3,000 to organizations for projects that encourage participatory events and discussions aimed at inspiring connection and understanding.
