Allegany Franciscan Ministries, in collaboration with Trinity Health, is dedicated to serving in alignment with the Gospel's spirit as a compassionate and transformative healing presence in communities. Their vision emphasizes creating more just, equitable, and caring communities, ensuring everyone is welcomed and possesses the resources to flourish.
The Tau Grants are designed for smaller nonprofits that address organizational or program needs with a limited scope. These grants focus on supporting services or organizations aiding persons who are historically marginalized, economically disadvantaged, or have limited access to healthcare and health information. Specifically, the FY23 Tau Grants aim to fund unrestricted general operating/capacity building needs for groups providing services to BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and/or persons with disabilities. The framework to understand the social determinants of health for Allegany Franciscan Ministries covers education, economic stability, social & community context, health & healthcare, and neighborhood & built environment.
