The Allstate Foundation, established in 1952 and powered by Allstate, seeks to empower individuals and communities towards thriving futures. It has evolved its focus areas over the decades to best utilize resources, time, and leadership for maximum impact. Today, it aims to empower youth for success, disrupt the cycle of relationship abuse, and close the racial opportunity gap for careers with thriving wages, contributing to a more equitable world where communities can prosper.
The Allstate Foundation's Racial Equity Grant program is designed to support 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations that are actively working in the areas of racial equity and inclusivity, particularly within the green economy, projects related to the American Rescue Plan and American Jobs Plan, and through worker-centric policies for frontline and essential workers. The program plans to award 10 grants of $100,000 each to organizations that can demonstrate expertise and a close connection to the communities they serve, with a focus on creating inclusive economic opportunities to improve outcomes for communities of color. The grant aims to address racialized economic inequity by supporting initiatives that offer solutions to urgent challenges like climate change, access to federal recovery programs for entrepreneurs of color, and the need for equitable employment opportunities, thereby hoping to improve the economy for everyone.
