The AAG E. Willard and Ruby S. Miller Award is designed to honor members of the Association of American Geographers who have demonstrated exceptional contributions to the geographic field, either through teaching or research. This award is funded by the estate of Ruby S. Miller and aims to recognize individuals for their special competence in the geographic discipline. More than one recipient may be selected annually, with each being granted $1,000 and a commemorative plaque to acknowledge their contributions.
