    Overview

The ASPB grant program, initially established in 1995 and evolving over time, aims to enhance public awareness and understanding of the essential roles of plants in all areas of life. Plant BLOOME is dedicated to developing education and outreach projects that can be implemented in K–12 classrooms and first-year undergraduate courses to advance both student and teacher knowledge and appreciation of plant biology. The program supports the creation and dissemination of classroom activities or labs that include clearly stated learning outcomes aligned with the categories of Principles for Teaching Plant Biology, necessary information for execution, and a clear assessment plan.
