ArtsKC's mission is to make the arts more accessible, support a vibrant arts community, and recognize excellence, innovation, and entrepreneurship in the arts across multiple disciplines.
Project Support Grants are designed for non-profit organizations engaged in arts projects, activities, or programs, particularly those not active year-round. The grants focus on supporting public-facing and publicly accessible programming in various disciplines including visual arts, dance, music, theater, poetry, and interdisciplinary art. They prioritize investments in people, programs, and projects, and are competitive in nature. Funding is specifically geared towards community programs and public-facing programs within educational institutions, excluding academic degree-granting programs. The requested grant amount should not exceed 10% of the organization's total operating expenses from the most recent fiscal year, with certain exceptions for organizations with previous year revenues below $10,000.
