The Association of Southeastern Biologists (ASB) aims to advance biology as a science by encouraging research, knowledge sharing, applying knowledge to solve biological problems, and preserving biological resources. It promotes research and education in the biological sciences through networking environments at its annual meetings.
The Student Research Award by the Association of Southeastern Biologists is designed to recognize outstanding research conducted by a student member. Eligible applicants include both graduate and undergraduate students who are members of ASB, either currently enrolled or having graduated within six months prior to their presentation. To qualify, applicants must submit a written manuscript or publication that has been published after the previous ASB annual meeting and present their research orally at the annual meeting.
