Bank of Hawaii Foundation has a steadfast commitment to strengthening communities in the areas we serve. We focus on programs and projects which provide significant impact within low and moderate income communities.
The grant program from the Bank of Hawaii Foundation targets programs and projects in several focused areas: Community Development, Education, Human Services, Arts and Culture, and foundation-initiated special projects. Specifically, these grants aim to support financial literacy, asset building, economic development, enhance access to high-quality educational opportunities for disadvantaged children, address basic needs (food, shelter, health, clothing), and integrate arts into children’s education or increase their access to major arts partners. The program also emphasizes partnerships with community development organizations, non-profits, community development corporations, community development financial institutions, and public policy advocacy groups that impact low- and moderate-income communities.
