The Bend Foundation is dedicated to improving lives within the Bend community. Initially focused on assisting injured loggers and mill workers and providing scholarships, its mission has expanded to include support for social services, arts, culture, and education. This growth reflects its commitment to enhancing the livability and thriving, diverse community of Bend and Central Oregon. Established by Brooks Scanlon and Brooks Resources along with their shareholders, the foundation has been a proactive community leader since 1947.
