The General Travel Grants program supports members in participating in scientific conferences, training courses, or lab visits to learn new techniques. These grants primarily target covering expenses ranging from £300 to £750 for attending both physical and virtual scientific gatherings. Though the grants aim to assist with costs, applicants are encouraged to seek additional funding to cover the full expense of their participation. Early applications are advisable, with the possibility of applying up to six months prior to the event’s commencement. The program also adapts to current global challenges by allowing applications for virtual event participation.
