The mission of the California Energy Commission (CEC) focuses on leading the state to a 100% clean energy future. As the state's primary energy policy and planning agency, the CEC is committed to reducing energy costs and environmental impacts of energy use while ensuring a safe, resilient, and reliable supply of energy.
The Community Energy Reliability & Resilience Investment (CERRI) Program aims to fund deployment projects throughout California to enhance community energy reliability and resilience. It supports the state’s climate and energy policies, fosters energy justice and equity, and helps create well-paid jobs. The financial backing for this initiative comes from the federal Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Section 40101(d).
