The Cattaraugus Region Community Foundation's mission focuses on being a supportive, responsive, and trusted community foundation for over 25 years, connecting donors to the causes they care most about in the region. It supports various areas such as education, health care, the arts, community development, human service, and youth development, primarily serving Cattaraugus County but also extending to Pennsylvania and other New York counties.
The Community Fund grants are aimed at addressing the most pressing needs within the community, as identified through a responsive and structured grant-making process. These grants support projects assessed on several criteria including the strength of the organization applying, the identified community need or opportunity, the feasibility and potential impact of the project, the project budget, and how the CRCF grant specifically contributes to the project. Grants generally range from $100 to $2,500 and are not designed to cover ongoing annual expenses. Each organization is limited to one proposal submission per calendar year, with applications reviewed during two annual funding cycles.
