Centre Foundation’s Giving Circle is a collective of community-minded individuals aiming to make a significant impact through pooled resources, supporting various programs throughout Centre County since 2006.
The Field-of-Interest Funds at Centre Foundation form part of an annual competitive granting cycle. Each fund supports a distinct cause, program, population, or geographic area, as per the donor's interests. Examples include the support of Penns Valley churches through the Andrew and Madaline Rishel Family Fund for activities like mission programs and community outreach, grants from the Ben Franklin Fund benefiting residents of Centre, Clearfield, Huntingdon, and Mifflin counties, funding from the Carolyn A. Petrus Memorial Seeing Eye Dog Fund for organizations that raise, train, and match seeing-eye dogs, the Centre Children's Fund supporting at-risk children, and various other funds that support health and human services, arts programs, early childhood education, music programs, animal welfare, patriotic observances, and support for residents with hearing loss, among others. These funds demonstrate the broad range of interests and areas the Centre Foundation aims to impact through its grantmaking process.
