CSHF Grants - Capacity-Building Opportunity

From Colorado Springs Health Foundation

The Colorado Springs Health Foundation aims to improve health outcomes by focusing on a population health framework. This includes addressing clinical care, health behaviors, social and economic determinants, and the physical environment.

Type of Support

Overview

The grant program targets:

  1. Expanding access to healthcare, including physical, mental, oral, and substance use disorders, for those most in need.
  2. Addressing the healthcare workforce shortage.
  3. Preventing suicide.
  4. Cultivating healthy environments in high-need or underserved communities to promote physical activity and access to healthy, affordable food.
  5. Preventing or healing trauma and strengthening resilience.

The foundation considers multiyear grant requests for new approaches to community needs, but not for general operating support or ongoing program operations. It also sets guidelines for when current funded partners may seek additional funds and allows for emergency funding in exceptional circumstances. Additionally, the foundation is open to capacity-building projects that improve organizational skills, strategies, systems, or structures without using the funds for ongoing expenses or capital projects.
