The Colorado Trust aims to ensure all Coloradans have fair and equal opportunities to lead healthy, productive lives regardless of race, ethnicity, income, or where they live. Its vision of health equity means every person in Colorado can reach their full health potential without being disadvantaged by socially determined circumstances.
The Community Resilience Initiatives by The Colorado Trust are three-year investments aimed at enhancing the resilience of communities across Colorado through strategic support in critical areas such as food, housing, and mental and behavioral health. These areas were identified as top priorities during extensive community planning processes. The program includes seven competitive grant initiatives designed to help communities respond efficiently to various disruptions like economic downturns, social unrest, public health emergencies, or ineffective public policies. These initiatives cover a range of activities including sustaining housing solutions, diversified approaches to behavioral health, expanding access to behavioral health services, accessing healthy foods, building food systems, capacity building assistance, and policy and advocacy efforts.
