The Colorado Trust aims to ensure all Coloradans have fair and equal opportunities to lead healthy, productive lives regardless of race, ethnicity, income, or where they live. Its vision of health equity means every person in Colorado can reach their full health potential without being disadvantaged by socially determined circumstances.
The Community Resilience Initiatives are three-year investments by The Colorado Trust aimed at reinforcing the strengths, abilities, and resiliency of Colorado communities. These initiatives address food, housing, and mental and behavioral health as key priorities, seeking to support entities that effectively respond to disruptions caused by economic downturns, social turbulence, public health crises, or ineffective public policy. Seven competitive grant initiatives are included, encompassing Sustaining Housing Solutions, Diverse Approaches to Behavioral Health, Expanding Access to Behavioral Health, Accessing Healthy Foods, Building Food Systems, Capacity Building Assistance, and Policy and Advocacy. Among these, the Expanding Access to Behavioral Health initiative specifically seeks to improve and increase access to mental and behavioral health services for underserved or marginalized populations, with goals to expand service access, improve service quality, and increase the diversity of the mental and behavioral health workforce.
