The mission of the Arts and Culture Fund is to support the practice, performance, and interpretation of the arts. This is achieved through offering grants to organizations dedicated to these artistic endeavors, particularly those improving access and participation for underserved communities.
The Community Foundation Library Fund was established following the closure of the Broome Library Foundation in 2008, aiming to support public libraries within the South Central New York region, covering Broome, Chenango, Delaware, Otsego, and Tioga Counties. Grants are provided for enhancing library services, programming, exhibits, and the production of historical exhibitions in association with public libraries. The fund seeks to address specific needs within public libraries to augment resources, programs, or services, and to assist with historical exhibitions, aiming to extend libraries’ outreach and enrich library offerings beyond traditional tax-based funding. The fund may award grants lesser than requested amounts and is open to considering matching or challenge grants to leverage additional funding sources.
