The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin aims to enhance the betterment of communities in its nine-county service area through the support and management of community funds. Each fund, guided by a local volunteer advisory board, focuses on responding to the evolving needs of the community by distributing grants to various projects and programs.
The Argyle Community Fund is designed as a permanent endowment to improve the quality of life within the Argyle community. Managed under the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, it provides annual grants sourced from the fund's earnings. These grants target non-profit organizations, local school districts, and government agencies working on charitable initiatives in Argyle. The focus areas for these grants include education, support for youth and the elderly, healthcare, historic preservation, the arts, and environmental conservation. Grant distributions are made annually in November, ensuring ongoing support for valuable community projects and programs.
