The Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin aims to enhance the betterment of communities in its nine-county service area through the support and management of community funds. Each fund, guided by a local volunteer advisory board, focuses on responding to the evolving needs of the community by distributing grants to various projects and programs.
The Monroe Fund supports various aspects of community enhancement through its grant program. The grants are allocated annually and aim to improve the quality of life within Monroe by addressing the community’s needs. Specific causes supported include healthcare through the Dr. Fred W. & Alice J. Kundert Charitable Fund, memorial initiatives via the Jane Lysaght Memorial Fund, agricultural advances through the Monroe Farmers Market Coupon Program, and historical preservation with the Clifford & Dorothy Reasa Charitable Fund and the Clifford & Dorothy Reasa Fund for Historic Preservation.
