The Community Foundation's vision is a Central Georgia where philanthropy thrives, communities are strong, and citizens work toward common goals. Their mission is to engage the community of donors to strengthen local nonprofits through collaboration, believing that even a small gift can make a big impact. Their goal is to connect people who care with tangible needs in the region.
The grant, created through the Sustainability Fund at the Community Foundation of Central Georgia and funded by The Peyton Anderson Foundation, supports "quality of life" programming in the Macon Area Habitat for Humanity’s focus neighborhoods, including Lynmore Estates and Pleasant Hill. Projects eligible for funding should have a lasting positive impact on the community, with a preference for programs that demonstrate a plan for future sustainability beyond a one-time event.
