Central to the work of the Community Foundation is our ability to connect those who care with those in need through our granting programs.
The CFJC Community Grants program aims to support Johnson County nonprofit organizations by addressing local needs and enhancing quality of life for all residents. The grants are designed to provide financial assistance for both program and operational needs within the county. Organizations interested in applying must select between two application types depending on their need: program support or operating support, with a limitation of one request per organization. The grant focuses on six main areas: Arts, Culture & Humanities; Education; Environment & Animals; Health; Human Services; and Public & Societal Benefit. Program support grants target specific projects or services in these areas, like community pathways, afterschool programs, or technology for health services. Operating support grants assist with the nonprofit's basic functioning costs, such as rent, utilities, and payroll.
