The grant program focuses on supporting nonprofits facing immediate, unforeseen, and crucial challenges that significantly hinder their service provision or threaten their existence. Through the Critical Needs List, the program aims to address these emergencies by facilitating connections between nonprofits and philanthropic donors. Focus areas include Animal Welfare, Arts and Culture, Basic Needs, Domestic Abuse and Human Trafficking, Education, Health and Wellbeing, and Workforce Services and Career Development. The program allows for requests up to $250,000 to solve critical issues like emergency repairs, essential equipment replacement, or addressing sudden external challenges. Additionally, the Community Foundation Tampa Bay offers a Fundholder Match Program, providing matching grants to amplify the impact of donations made to address these critical needs.
