The Community Foundation Alliance is a network of nine Community Foundation affiliates serving counties throughout southwestern Indiana. The Alliance provides management, administrative, and development expertise to our local affiliate community foundations, empowering each to promote philanthropy, build endowment, and improve wellbeing in our local communities.
The Men’s Fund Grants Program is designed to harness the efforts of male philanthropists towards creating positive social change within Vanderburgh County. This is achieved by funding programs or projects that are geared towards addressing the current necessities of the community. The program supports a wide array of causes including Community Development, Education, Health/Mental Health, Human Services, and various Civic Endeavors such as Arts & Culture, Environment, Recreation, and Youth Development. Additionally, it focuses on Endowment Creation and Capital Projects. To attain long-term organizational stability, it emphasizes that the grants should support, and not replace, existing operations, staffing, and initiatives. A notable aspect of the grant process is the annual allocation of one Impact Grant valued at $30,000, which is particularly aimed at a program or project that promises to enhance the quality of life in Vanderburgh County. Grant consideration prioritizes organizations showcasing long-term planning, financial and sustainability strategies, program or project evaluation plans, collaboration to avoid service duplication, preventative problem-solving methodologies, and evidence of proficient organizational management.
